The US recently came out with a report saying that there is an increase in assault at hotels, casinos and on cruise ships in the Bahamas. But the National Security minister disagrees.

According to Dr. Bernard J. Nottage who is the current national security minister, these are not crimes by Bahamians. He noted that although these ships are registered in Bahamas, these crimes were mostly committed by foreigners.
While he admitted that there have been some incidents, he indicated that these were committed in the past and that the currently crime plan was working.
