I am a proud Bahamian and one who especially love to boast that “It’s Better in the Bahamas“. But this latest video of Bahamians fighting in the streets could be another sign that things are getting worse in paradise.

What I saw in the video indicates that there are serious social problems in the community. I fear more violence unless something is done to reach out to young Bahamians. I know this is not the first street fight in Bahamas but we got to stop making excuses for any form of violence.
I’ve experienced more and more of my fellow Bahamians with anger issues compared to 5 years ago. I think if something quite significant isn’t done in terms of training, employment opportunities, education around drug and alcohol use, we will certainly be saying “It’s Getting Worse in the Bahamas“.
