Bahamas Striping a success story

At some point in our lives we have felt like giving up on something. Giving up on a business idea, thinking of going back to school, even giving up on making it in your country. Maybe today as you read this, you are feeling that way right now.

That’s how 26 year old Atario Mitchell, President of Bahamas Striping, felt 4 years ago when he was unable to compete against foreign own striping companies. But he didn’t give up or look for an easy way out. He worked harder to prove that even at a young age, he could build a successful business in the Bahamas.

Atario’s story is an inspiration for not only Bahamians but also for people across the Caribbean, especially young adults. It shows that hard work and ambition can lead to success. As Barack Obama once said,

We need to steer clear of this poverty of ambition, where people want to drive fancy cars and wear nice clothes and live in nice apartments but don’t want to work hard to accomplish these things. Everyone should try to realize their full potential.
