In 2013, Krystal Tomlinson won the title of Miss Jamaica Festival Queen and made a commitment to making a positive difference.
In an interview with the Jamaica Gleaner, Tomlinson said,
“My reign will be very fruitful. I would really like to do three things; one, to host a debate competition which will teach youths life skills such as critiquing information, ability to express themselves, and to listen attentively. Second, to work with individuals with disabilities and inform them about their rights as human beings, and thirdly, develop a mechanism for youth to develop an appreciation for research”
Fast forward four years later and Tomlinson is deeply involved with Jamaican youths and making a positive change. In the video below you can see her in action. It is hard not to recognize the passion and dedication that this young woman emits.
Tomlinson is active on social media, where she uses this platform to spread her message of positivity.
