A Guyanese born, 25 year old Christopher Robinson is in the final stages of a rare and deadly form of renal cancer at the hospice run by the Metropolitan Jewish Health System. But he had one more wish, to see one last time—his older sister, 27-year-old Michelle Robinson who lives in Guyana. He hadn’t seen his sister in 20 years.

Two weeks ago, it seems his hope of seeing her would not be realized. His sister was denied a visa to travel to the United States. However, fortunately for Christopher, a local TV station reached out to Senator Schumer and his sister was subsequently issued a visa. With the help of Fly Jamaica which paid Michelle’s airfare to New York, brother and sister were reunited.

Now Christopher finally gets the chance to hug his sister after 20 years. In an interview with FOX TV station, PIX 11 News, Michelle said “I’m glad I made it this far to see my brother”

In what seems to be a sad story, there is a story of a brother and sister reunited after 20 years apart.
