Is This Excessive Force or Standard Guyanese Police Procedure

Police in Guyana should get use to people recording or we need to get used to seeing videos like this. We know there is a thin line between enforcing the law and protecting a person’s human rights.

While we don’t know the details of this confrontation between the Guyanese police and the crowd, it seems clear that emotions were running high and the police certainly did nOt take control of the situation.

Well we are not sure how the Guyanese police defines excessive force but any actions of the police that maybe deemed as a violation of a person’s constitutional rights, is considered excessive.
Let’s be mindful that the Guyanese police is there to protect all citizens of Guyana and their jobs can be really hard especially in certain situations.
