The Guyana That Many People Don’t Get To See Or Know

1 min read

I have written several stories, stories about individuals that have inspired others, stories that challenge me to think about hard issues but writing a story about a country is a different matter.

This is a story about Guyana, the Guyana that I think many non-Guyanese don’t get to see or know. I am not Guyanese, never visited Guyana but through my years at the University of the West Indies, I have made a few Guyanese friends. I even joined an organization called Friends of Guyana.

Although my knowledge of Guyana is limited, through my Guyanese friends, there is an inspiration story to be told of Guyana.

The video below is a perfect example of Guyana through the eyes of the camera.

Is this the Guyana you know?
