There are several world-renowned Guyanese scientists and perhaps in the future, these seven young Guyanese engineers will join their rank.

Shawn Singh, Arianna Mahase, Anthony Frank, Chris Nelson, Deviknandan Ramnarace, Horace Moseley, Farnaz Baksh and Ricky Chand from STEM Guyana were selected to represent Guyana in the world’s first international Robot Olympics for high school students. The event is scheduled to be held in Washington D.C from July 16 to 28, 2017.

The World Robot Olympiad brings together young people from all over the world to develop their creativity, design & problem solving skills through challenging & educational robot competitions and activities.

This has been a long and hard work for this group of young Guyanese. However, they all see this as an opportunity to not only learn about technology but also showcase Guyana on the world stage.
