Last year October, Rosinda Nicholson, the Guyanese mother of Elijah Harris was deported from Trinidad and Tobago. Elijah is just two years old. The Trinidadian immigration deported her because she overstayed her time even though her son who is Trinidadian has been diagnosed with autism.
As we watched her story last year, it is was hard not to shed a tear, especially for a child who is in situation and a mother who is reaching out for assistance.
And finally a the situation has taken a positive turn. Rosinda Nicholson is now being allowed to find medical treatment for Elijah in Trinidad and Tobago.
