Clifford Francois lives in Haiti, in the town of Belladère. At 14 you might think that he is living a normal life like any other Caribbean teenager but that’s not the case.
Like thousands of Haitian kids, Clifford and his family struggles to eat, struggles to go to school. But even in the struggles of everyday life, kids like Clifford find the strength to overcome and dear to leave their dream.
That’s what makes Clifford a hero. Here is why.. He has, on many occasions, deliberately crossed alone the Haitian border to live in the Dominican Republic. His aim? Finding a job and save enough money to pay for school.
