This is no snow in Haiti and very few Haitians have seen real snow much less skiing.
But Céline Marti who is representing Haiti at world ski championship in St Moritz earned 61st place out of 74 in the qualifications. While this might not seem impressive, it is for a skiier with only 3 months of training.
And though this might seem trivial to many, not so for thousands of Haitians celebrating on social media. Here is Marti completing her downhill performance last week.
