Life in Jamaica is complicated yet simple. It is difficult yet easy. Even with all the problems that many Jamaicans face, there is this laid back attitude draws criticism but at the same time it keeps Jamaicans grounded.

Filmmaker Robert Kolodny came across a small shanty town of local woodcarvers, fishermen, and craft sellers in Jamaica. He was drawn to the richness of the Jamaican culture and its people.

This video documents his short time in the community, talking to people, sharing fried fish, and indulging in a communal beer or two.
