Crime is an increasing problem in the Caribbean. Countries that were once safe, even 5 years ago, now face the ever increasing hands of violent crime.
So far the most of the crime fighting programs have failed. I think maybe they simply didn’t address the root cause of crime. A couple years ago Marvin G. Hall, a former maths teacher, created a workshop for young people in Jamaica called “Lego Yuh Mind” where they can playfully explore ideas in science, technology, engineering, art and mathematics.
The workshop is a welcome break from daily life in the inner city, where crime is rampant.
