Too often were hear that Jamaican kids cannot express themselves in writing. What if they had the opportunity to write down their thoughts?
I came across a project that provides Jamaican kids in Trench Town, an inner city community in Kingston Jamaica, with the skills and the freedom to express the world they experience. Known as the Greater Cake Workshop, 50 kids are now digitally published authors.
A lot of kids in inner city communities like Trench Town tend to be marginalized. This new skill set will undoubtedly provide them with more confidence and the ability to expand their creative skills not only verbally but in writing.
