1 min read

For many people in St Lucia that have grown accustomed to Herma Demacque on St Lucian radio station, The Waves, she represent more than just a voice.

Herma was one of three children raised by a single mom. Her mother’s strength and dedication continues to influence her outlook on life.

Her profile on the Waves website reads,

“Herma believes in self-expression through creativity and always dares to be different, trying to be the best in whatever she undertakes”

Those words have really played out in her life journey. Her success in landing the role at The Waves is one of those life lessons that could inspire a child somewhere in the Caribbean. In an interview last year with Choice Media Network, Herma shares her story.

Here is Herma talking about youth advocacy in St Lucia
