This story might not connect with a lot of people but I truly think it is worth sharing. I would like to introduce Tevin Shepherd a young man from St Lucia with a passion for making a positive change.
I came across a video produced by Youth-IN Visions that featured an innovative program led by Tevin Shepherd. This program was created to engage the youths of the community of Canaries, located on the west coast of St Lucia. By empowering youths to make a change, the program seeks to strengthen the community support system and to develop leadership skills amongst young people in the community.
Shepard’s passion for youth development has translated into action and in 2014 he received the Youth of Excellence / Youth of the Year Award at the annual Youth Awards Ceremony organized by the St Lucia’s Ministry of Youth and Sports.
